THE PROBLEM

Insufficient care for TBI patients creates an unmet need

An estimated 5 million people in the U.S. suffer from traumatic brain injury each year, the majority of which are classified as mild (mTBI). Point of care solutions for mTBI assessment and management are confusing and inaccurate for patients, challenging and ambiguous for providers, and overall ineffective for safe return to activity.

Patient presentation is highly variable with evolving, sometimes transient symptoms and self-monitoring injury recovery is both confusing and challenging.
Patients often withdrawal and fail to follow up with their healthcare team - which can lead to long-term complications.
Clinical staff are overwhelmed by the complex nature of the current concussion assessment tools. The current clinical guidelines pose a significant administrative burden as they are confusing, paper-based, and unable to capture or track data outside of the clinic.
