WHO WE SERVE
Making connections with better information.
Neuroscience Innovations develops mobile solutions to create more efficiency & effectiveness in healthcare & human performance domains.
Healthcare
Providing quality healthcare is challenged by patient discontinuity, documentation system inefficiency, and clinical subjectivity. These issues are especially deleterious with head injury.
Oculabs integrates with existing record/documentation systems to assess, monitor, and manage objective patient biometric data. For hospital systems and private healthcare practices, the Oculabs platform improves outcomes while minimizing costs and time burdens. Oculabs supports insurance-covered telehealth service delivery to maximize patient adherence and clinical efficiency.
Military
Between 2000 and 2017, the Department of Defense reported more than 375,000 diagnosed cases of TBI among members of the U.S. armed forces around the world. Significant gaps persist in the assessment and continuity of treatment, in part due to soldiers’ drive for a speedy return to service.
Oculabs contributes to maximizing the clinical decision support and recovery of service members by improving patient access to and compliance with care. Objective measurements, accurate & actionable analysis, and communicative visuals create an engaging recovery process.
Athletics
Sports are beneficial for individual and community health but are the source of many concussions and TBIs. Improving concussion diagnostics and management in sports is of critical importance in the mission to limit the long-term damage.
Athletes are empowered to take an active role in their recovery by completing remote assessments, tracking their progress, and staying connected with their provider.
Oculabs measures and provides immediate assessment results and connects these with long-term trends of athlete injury response and recovery to better support clinical decisions regarding return to play.
Research
Researching brain injuries is notoriously challenging. Participant subjectivity and attrition are limitations on providing valid and reliable results. To move forward we need quality, aggregated data.
Oculabs accumulates data for analysis with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to inform research models of TBI diagnosis and treatment. Medical and academic research centers can utilize and contribute to the important collection, analysis, and synthesis of biometric data using the Oculabs platform.
TBI management has the potential to create a high stress situation evoking strong reactions among clinicians and patients which may result in resistance/reluctance to treat and/or receive treatment. Implicit and explicit messages may impact treatment experience and recovery, so it is important that the patient receive consistent feedback to help cultivate a positive treatment expectation.
